Location
Situated nearly 5 minutes' walk from Big Bazaar @ Centre Square Mall, the 3-star Hotel Pearl Palace Kochi offers currency exchange and a tour desk. This Kochi hotel is proud to feature a private art gallery, 3.5 km from the kerala-style Mattancherry Palace.
The hotel stands not far from the Paradesi Synagogue, at a 950-metres distance from Maharaja's College Metro Station underground station. The Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium is about a 10-minute drive from the Pearl Palace Kochi, while Cochin International airport is 30 km from it. Guests will also appreciate the vicinity to Traffic Park, located a mere 1 km away. The area features a number of shopping sites, such as the Center Square Mall, which is right around the corner from the property. Hotel Pearl Palace is approximately 300 metres from Ernakulam bus station.
There are 33 rooms comprising a mini-kitchen. They come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, as well as such comforts as ironing facilities. Guests can enjoy views of the city from the hotel.
The accommodation offers a scrumptious breakfast. This hotel also includes an Indian restaurant with a variety of Indian specialities. The restaurant Hangout De Cafe' is fairly close to the Pearl Palace.
Review by hotel critic
The well-furnished rooms, equipped with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi, offered potential, but I encountered issues such as torn sheets and a lingering cigarette smell that overshadowed the charm of the place. The location is a highlight, with close proximity to attractions like Fort Kochi and Central Mall, making it convenient for sightseeing. The staff, particularly Mr Shaan at the front desk, displayed commendable hospitality and were attentive to our needs, even assisting us eagerly with our requests. A frustrating moment arose when our request for extra towels for our family of four was initially met with reluctance. While the in-house restaurant served a delightful range of both Indian and international cuisines, it's essential to emphasize that the overall experience lacked the polish expected from a three-star establishment. Hotel Pearl Palace has the foundation for a wonderful stay, but it fell short during my visit, leaving much to be desired.
